The ATL SkyTrain: Making It Easy to Meet at the GICC

Worried about transportation in Atlanta? The ATL SkyTrain makes it simple for you and attendees to go from airplane to meeting room. This elevated train at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport offers convenient transportation in and out of the airport. One five-minute ride gives guests unprecedented access to the world’s busiest airport, the state’s second largest convention center and a state-of-the-art rental car center. The best feature? It’s totally free. It loops 24 hours a day, arriving every three minutes during peak hours.

Step One: Hop on!

Simply head to the end of baggage claim at Hartsfield-Jackson to find the SkyTrain just outside the doors marked “Ground Transportation.” No ticket is needed, so just grab your bags and hop on.

Step Two: The GICC

The ATL SkyTrain connects visitors to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), Georgia’s newest convention center and the world’s only convention center connected directly to a major airport. The modern facility embodies the grace and efficiency of flight itself. See for yourself on a 360-degree tour.

Step Three: Stay Nearby

Make your way to the Gateway Center stop and you’ll find two hotels near the Georgia International Convention Center - the Marriott Atlanta Gateway and Springhill Suites Atlanta Gateway. Both locations are conveniently accessible to the GICC by way of the ATL SkyTrain and offer the ideal environment for attendees to rest their heads. Guests can enjoy ultra-flexible guest rooms that are designed to provide a balance between work and play.
